The €31 million New Mill Student Accommodation project created 400 bedrooms across 61 cluster flats in a 4–7 storey courtyard block while refurbishing historic buildings and opening access to the Warrenmount Convent boundary wall. A key design feature was the use of Corum brick by Vandersanden, chosen to blend seamlessly with the site’s existing heritage fabric. The development now includes landscaped public areas, shops, a restaurant and business incubation space, transforming a once-derelict site into a vibrant student hub. Widely praised as a model for future student housing, it has regenerated the neighbourhood both socially and economically.
