Specialty Brick - Clay&Co

Specialty Brick

Brick Specials Manufacturing was established in 1995 to satisfy the growing demand for special shaped bricks. We can offer a complete range of brick specials in both “cut & bonded” and moulded fashion to compliment our extensive brick range. Cut & Bonded specials are available on a 5 day lead time from our manufacturing unit in Santry and include brick slips, biscuit brick, doglegs, squints and cants. Our moulded specials are typically available on a 6-8 week lead time. We specialise in restoration and heritage projects; we can match any Victorian or salvaged specials. Our technical sales staff will be delighted to discuss any plans you may have and advise on brick detailing. They are more than happy to offer a specialised self-build advice service. For advice on type, sizing, colours, textures and prices simply speak to one of our technical sales team.

Cut & Bonded

Any special shaped bricks that conform to brick dimensions can be produced at the Kingscourt Country Manor Bricks Brick Craft Shop. This service enables us to cut and bond standard bricks into the design you require (in working quantities) within 5 working days, helping to ensure that your project stays on track and with no loss of time. Where construction programmes do not allow for the normal lead times required to manufacture special shaped bricks, as an alternative, cut and bonded bricks can be used for the majority of situations. The process involves two or more units of standard brick cut, bonded and shaped to meet specifiers’ requirements.

Brick Slips

Brick slips are 2cm thick slips of original facing bricks and as such have the same characteristics as the facing bricks in accordance with European CE standards. They are also lightweight and very easy to handle. Suitable for internal as well as external use on commercial or residential applications, Brick slips offer a durable, weather resistant and lightweight system that is easy to apply, add character and provide an instant makeover and improvement to any surface by giving it the beauty & timeless elegance of Brick. When applying these slips to your outside wall, the reduced thickness has the advantage that the normal detailing of windows and doors is maintained. This means you will not have high alteration costs. When applying to interior walls, you will lose less space because of the reduced thickness. When joined, the brickslips have the same appearance as ordinary brickwork with full bricks.
