At Donnybrook Gardens, brick is more than a cladding material; it shapes the character of the development. The project uses Bronsgroen brick, selected for its rich buff‑green tones and subtle colour variation, contributing depth and texture across façades. Set in crisp mortar, the brickwork contrasts with expansive alu‑clad glazing in darker tones, bringing balance between solidity and transparency. The brick is also carried through in generous balconies and wrapped corners, visually and materially tying the five blocks together. Its robustness suits the exposed suburban Dublin climate, while the hue resonates with the existing vernacular, lending a timeless quality to the scheme.
