The Leinster Hotel

A key material decision was the use of Casa Lena and Retro Tiffany bricks, which were then treated with a traditional lime wash finish. This application softens and unifies the façades while still allowing the underlying brick texture to read through. The technique introduces a tactile depth and subtle tonal variation that shifts with the light, echoing the weathered character of historic Dublin buildings. Combined with carefully detailed stone elements and balanced proportions, the lime-washed brickwork creates a façade that feels both contemporary and timeless, tying the new hotel respectfully into its Georgian context.
